I was thinking, would benchmade have new model numbers when the come out with new blade styles for the BM42? Since they had different numbers for the weehawk,tanto,etc . . . it would make sence. They have already used 41(utility), 42(the new weehawk), 43(the earlier huge swedge weehawk), 44(two different tantos), 45(the previous weehawk) and 48(a different utility). If I haven't missed any, that leaves 46, 47 and 49.
I would like to see: 46(a weehawk tanto), 47(a clip point), and 49(another utility). All based on the 42 handles. I would buy at least a couple of each. And if they came out with inlayed handles . . .maybe for a knife of the month? I'd have to get one for each blade style they come out with.
How about a BM52? A five inch production model based on the 42. I'd need to get one or two of those.
I had better stop. I have spent a couple grand with one post. Anyone have any ideas along these lines? Or (ahem . . . Chuck) any insight?
