I had the Hest 2.0 and traded it after only carrying it for a weekend. Way too rough G10, way too thick blade, and sticky lock.

I got the Rock Lobster recently and I like the shape and size a lot. What I don't like is the opening hole is half covered on the lock side, and it is very off center.

I would vote for "other" although I don't have a suggestion. I recently got the Spyderco Gayle Bradley and so far I'm liking it a lot.

DPx Hest 2.0 is just a giant expensive paper weight in my experience, i would have to go with spyderco or other just because I'm a spydie fan and because there are so many other great knives that are 2/3 the price of those two

Paramilitary 2 if you can find one. It's not just hype they really are that good. :)

Yes, even the cheap ones with S30v blades.

I've had the HEST 2.0. Clunker; heavy, thick, sticky-lock. It's full of gimmicks, from the tool-hole to the blade-lock "key." Nah, a kid's toy, maybe.

Nice suggestions. I don't have the Triage or Rift, but I just got the Diver in yellow with the Rift handle, which is great.
Native and Military are two of my top Spydercos. Got the 0200, it's heavy, but fun to play with.

To the OP, thumbs down on the Hest, I like the Rock Lobster.

Rock Lobster out of those two, if only because pelton is such a d-bag and his emo seizures here on BFC were shameful. IRL I'd pick something else.

Definitely "other." Lg Sebenza if you want pure, plain outstanding, Strider SnG if you want funky looking, tactile & fun manipulation.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I decided to take the advice of the majority who voted "Other" and bought this bad boy this morning:

ZT 0350 Limited Edition 0350 with Satin Brown aluminum scales.

Great choice on the 0350.

I wouldn't have picked either 1 of of the knives you were considering. Definately Not the Hest. The LR is a great slicer.....I wish I hadn't traded mine!
