Quick and Dirty

I have had many different setups for stripping INFI, but this is current and the best for me so far.
I hang the blade from a bungee and handle it with nitrile gloves. The blade gets sprayed twice. First time it hangs for about 15 minutes and then is rinsed with water from the hose and lightly scrubbed with a stainless steel brush. Second it is dried and sprayed again for tough spots. Then it is taken to the drill with a more aggressive 3M wheel and then finished off with a fine one. I then sharpen/reprofile with the Edgepro Apex.
The DSSF was almost pristine without coating on it. It really was the easiest blade to strip so far. Here is a couple pics of what I use.

Great setup,,, been doing it all by hand:o, where are the 3M wheels from? part#?

looks Great!!! :D:D

Looks good, mob, I like your style.

I recall that Trykon Lawson used those wheels, as well. I tried one on my NMFBM, but maybe it was an extra coarse, it seemed way to aggressive.
Need to look for the fine grit.

Quick and dirty...........meaning the strip, polish, pics and most of all the knives. My lovelies are workin' girls and as much as I love my GW and Mistress (on loan to friends), these 2 + my EDC folder do it all for me.

Hi mymindisamob

What is the thickness of your DSF after stripped? I think mine measured at .215''coated, wonder if they are all .187 thick w/o the coating, thanks

Yeah, the coarse ones only get used on gouged areas for me. The fine is the way to go.

I don't have calipers anymore, but it looks and feels about .187.
