I have a quick question about the edge of the Byrd Meadowlark and Cara-Cara Rescue.

Do the come in a full-serrated, combo and/or plain edge?

Im looking for the full-serrated FRN Meadowlark Rescue but my intel is a bit confusing...the Spyderco wedside says fully-serrated, Newgraham sell’s the combo edge and the prototypes were plain edge...someone makes this more clear please!

Actually the info I got from the Spyderco company forum indicates that the full serrated version is still a few months off. At this time only part serrated and plain edge configs are available. There was apparently a mix up with their manufacturer on the full serrations as they have not done a fully serrated Byrd knife yet. If someone is selling full serrated versions I would double check with them before you order.

Pietje, they are currently only available in Partially Serrated. The item numbers indicate they are fully serrated, i.e. SBK, but in reality they are a PSBK. To confuse the matter even futher, the CaraCara has more serration than the Meadowlark.
I hope the muddy water is clearer now....
Regards, Mike @ New Graham

so it was planned to release the full-serrated before the combo edge, but the CE ‘’escaped’’ before that!

only CE now...meaning I have to wait a lil longer

more in % or cm/inch ?

I'm at home now so can't compare side by side, but in my feeble head it seems the CaraCara was ~50% serrated and the Meadowlark was ~40% IIRC...understand though, that is just eyeballing the blades, not measuring them.
