Quick combi diamond plate comparison

I’ve said this before, but for whatever reason I seem to get a much better edge from the cheap DMD plates than the more expensive DMT plates. No idea why

I still get good use out of some inexpensive, double sided 1" x 5" Gerber diamond plates that I've had for a bunch of years. Not sure that price is the best determinant of utility...(in all cases, anyway).
