Quick first impressions of stag M43 from 11/11

When I first saw it for sale, I thought to myself, "Hot Damn!"

Well, multiply that by ten and that's what it feels like to handle it. :eek:

It was advertised as weighing two pounds, but when I picked it up, it sure didn't feel like it. Sure enough, I weighed it, and 1.96 pounds it is.

Dan, you nailed it when you said it was well balanced... The M43 for Dan Harden came today too and this one feels very well balanced, though as people have said before, much more forward feeling than, say, an Ang Khola.

The handle, though not long, is fat, and fills my hand very nicely. Overall the most comfortable to hold... Now, we'll just have to find out how comfortable it is after a bit of use... :D

Fast shipping too! Most khuks take nearly a month to get here, but this one took just a week. Canada customs... Gotta love 'em.

I'll give a field report later... If I don't deem this one too pretty to use... This one got close to getting that kind of treatment, but the handle feels so solid on it that it would be a shame to not use it.

why risk it?

send it over to Ontario, it'll be safe and sound here in the center of Canada.
 
Really, Nasty? You'd actually let me send this ol' khuk to Ohio for safe keeping? It's good to know that there are still some good, decent, and kindhearted people around, ready to help their fellow man at the drop of a hat.

And Dave, good call about, or should I say, aboot, the drunkard of a premier we have in BC, but if it's going to Ontario, it'd be going to my brother at UW. He may be a computer geek, but he can still appreciate a khuk.
