I'm really liking my 66 Calf Roper. I did a forum search as well as a google search, but I cannot find a direct comparison to the 66 jack version. Is the jack version noticeably slimmer/lighter than the roper? Because that would really be my only incentive to buy/use one over the stockman version.

Thank you.

Andrew

Search some dealer sites and compare the two using the dealers pictures.

Thank you, gentlemen. Some dealer sites are more helpful than others. I wish they would think to give width in addition to length. We do live in a three dimensional world, afterall:)

Hey subspace Ill give ya some dimensions of my 66 jack. Would love to see the specs on your stockman.

width I would say is 1/2"

Usable blade for main is 2 1/4, overall from tip to bolster is 2 1/2
secondary is 1 1/2 usable and 1 11/16 overall

The main clip blade is 9/16th's tall in the center. Just curious how these dimensions compair. If I had a scale I would weigh it for you.

Any other dimensions wanted just ask.

Jeff

I think the only difference in width is that the Calf Roper has an extra liner on one side next to the scale that the jack doesn't.

Thanks!
Jeff--I appreciate the measurements. My calf roper is also half an inch thick by my best guess. I don't own calipers and it's hard to be exact because of the rounded nature of the scales, but half an inch is pretty darn close. Main clip blade has same dimensions as you list for the jack. Sheepsfoot cutting edge is about one and five eighths inches, overall length of just about 2 inches. Spey blade looks to be the same as sheepsfoot in terms of length. Weight on my kitchen scale is exactly 2.5 ounces.
