Wife is out of town, and I got called to work tomorrow night. So I asked the neighbors to house-sit overnight and walk the dogs. They agreed. In addition to free range of the fridge and freezer, how much $$ would you offer them?

They're very nice people that rent next door, and I don't think either of them is working right now. It may be a 'vacation' for them, but on the other hand the house is a big crapshack, the dogs are a handful, and it's undoubtedly an inconvenience to them. I was thinking fifty bucks. Sound fair?

Any ideas? Anything I haven't considered?

that sounds kind to me. I had someone house sit for me that was living with her parents after the sale of her house. It was like a week vacation for her, and I think we gave like 100 bucks? afterwards.

We usually pay a teenager $10-$15 a day (+ food) to house-sit and feed the dogs while we're away.

If you have the money....and can afford it....... I'd say $100 to $150. It's not about the money......it's about helping them out :)
