Does anybody know if Natives even have any pivot bushings? Even the cheapest of knives do, so I would think so but I can't see them (recessed?) and this knife isn't to freindly to shadetree take down.

I'm guessing your basic teflon bushings, but can anybody confirm?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have washers. I don't think the Endura or Delica 3 had them either.

That said, I've never had any problem with smoothness in opening/closing with any of these models.

Never cut a Native apart to find out. But have seen the inside of two Seki made FRN Spydercos, and it would probably look fairly similar to them. Doubt there is any bushing. Coupled with your comments, that only goes to prove there is absolutely no relationship between bushings and quality, since the Native is a damn fine knife. As with the Seki ones, it probably does have a series of concentric rings moulded into the FRN that serve as washers. STR may have molested one, and be able to give you a definite answer. The Atlantic and Goddard ones in the attached photo are leftovers from other Spyderco molestations of his. :D

Yeah that would make sense, with the raised ridges to serve as the bushing. They would work just as good I would think (especially in a knife without an adjustable pivot screw).
