Good evening. I received my MSe back from the shop, I had requested a handle change mid-purchase/waiting period. There was a mix up with all the insanity surrounding all the production/shipping madness when the O2W blades were jumping out of the shop. The original handle came, I let them know, and the exchange went seamlessly. No fuss, no nothing, no harm, no foul, and I knew there would not be any issues.
I have been talking with Shaley on this and some other O2W blades with handle changes, etc, advice on getting on the waiting list for one I missed etc. During the course of my talks my wife's cancer battle came up. She was all ears and all heart and we shared some good conversations, I will leave the details out, she was a huge booster of my spirits.
When I received my knife back, there was a card acknowledging my wife's passing (August 27th) and it was from the Busse team. Part of it was typed, and I imagine it was Shaley's handwriting that appeared on the back of the card with a personal note.
I am sure it was Shaley who made sure that note was included.
I also want to thank all of you who know who you via Forum and Exchange that have given me support and prayers. All truly meaningful. I have and continue to derive strength from my Faith and all who have and are still praying for me and my family here and across the globe. I am back to work now after some personal leave, and it is good to be back and mixing it up again at the work place.
Thanks Busse Team, and Thanks Busse Forum friends and acquaintances for the acknowledgment and support.
There is a quote that goes something like "if you want to know who has a harder road than you, look to the man or woman you are passing in the streets, you will find your answer there"...
That was my adaptation, of course.
To those of you (truly every man and woman on God's earth) who are fighting your own battles big and small, all equally as important to you as mine are to me, I will pass on the words of my late grandfather, West Point graduate and retired Brigadier General from Franklin, LA where my dad's side is from (real cajun country)...
"One foot in front of the other, Cameroonski, and steady as she goes".
With humility and gratitude,
Thanks again.
