Do you guys think asking someone to trade, agreeing on trade terms then completely ignoring the other person once the trade is ready to be done worthy of a bad feedback?

For instance I was going to trade a knife for a knife +cash... guy was all gung ho for the trade but then went completely silent and will not respond no matter what venue i use to contact (pm, email, text). He has also offered the same trade to other parties since.

Thanks for your advice!

since nothing happened other than what you said. no. being flaky isnt against the rules. in poor taste......but not breaking any rules.

possible something happened to him...other than found a better offer.:)

Bad feedback in the form of a Negative on Itrader? No. Ya'll negotiated yet there was no completed deal in the end.

If you want to give bad feedback by means of naming them in this thread, then you can if you feel it was egregious enough that it is worth mentioning to others. This is a tricky decision because this may be a one time momentary lapse of reason and not indicative of their nature. Yet, if no one speaks up when this kind of thing happens then it will be hard to find a pattern with repeat offenders.

I'd put them on ignore/do not deal list and move on.

gotcha, and I thought something might have happened too Jb, but hes been on the forum everyday and is active. Oh well thanks for your advice guys.

Also, thank you for showing the patience and restraint to ask. It's sad that folks get so worked up over these type of annoyances, that are in all actuality trivial, that they just fire from the hip and end up nailing themselves in the foot.

No feedback on this one as others have said. It is poor form to just leave you hanging, but maybe better to have it end while you still have your knife. I would just let it go and move on.

No Feedback but you are welcome to at your own discretion decide if such behavior warrants a GBU thread calling out the person on their actions and/or behavior.

Just adding to my previous post-I would send him 1 last message that you are no longer interested in doing the deal-keep it civil. It likely doesn't matter, but it finishes things off.
yeah I've told him that its off and i listed the knife again. I gave him ample time to respond but all is over. Whats in the past can't be changed just move on from it :)

Agree with all that's been stated.

Who reached out first..who initiated the offer?

Makes not a difference, just curious. Apologies if Ive missed it.

It’s best to ignore people like that, and just move on to next interested member, but it does annoy me also.
Unfortunately, there are more than a few people that have given themselves special privileges to break their word and commitments, by going silent and being ignorant.
Those of us that respect others as our equal, believe that proper and timely communication is important.

The way I read the above comment is he has read about many bad trades and you're the lucky one he backed out. Could have ended poorly for you. I don't believe he was insulting you.
