Quick Question on Fatwood...

Joezilla - Longleaf pine has a long history of being used for naval stores (turpentine, pitch, etc) going back to colonial times. I always figured that it must be a very good producer if this was the tree of choice. I bet there is a lot of good fatwood in the SE where longleaf pine is widespread.
