hey guys,

i started out lining my forge with plistix 900. i ran out and the forge is only half done. so i have to order something. i was thinking about switching to satanite because it is better known and much cheaper than plistix. i do plan on using ICT-100 eventually.

here is the question. is there any reason why it would be bad to finish the forge with satanite? any way the plistix and satanite would not adhere to each other or interact badly?

thanks

jake

In principle, you could run into issues of different coefficients of thermal expansion and the liner cracking. In practice, it's likely not an issue, and if it cracks, just reapply some more Satanite over the crack.
