I registered, but cant search so forgive me if my questions already been answered.

I ht / tempered my first blade and overheated it "turned a little blue" while trying to put my bevel on. So my question is can i fix it, maybe annell it and start over or is it ruined?

thanks for any help in advance.

if it is just a small part of the edge you can just carefully grind that part off the blade by reprofiling the edge. but if it is a large area or runs into the blade farther than you want to reprofile then anneal and start over.

Sorry Dude, that part of the steel lost it's HT
Anneal, re-HT retemper

When you are grinding after HT work gently and dip in water as soon as it gets too warm to hold onto with bare hand
