Just ordered my son a Fallkniven for his graduation.... I also got his name engraved on the blade.

Did I do good? It was either that or an Esee. He doesn't have that many fixed blades, mainly Case Knives. I took the image from the website. Thank you.

Both of those brands have good reputations for quality - you did fine.

Being only a little bit older than your son is (depending on which graduation it was) I think you did very well.

Getting a knife from your father is a very meaningful thing for most people I would think. My dad passed along his military issue gerber to me (it's engraved with his squadron and last name) and I cherish it. The screwdriver has become stripped and one of the sliding screws is missing from being constantly carried and used but I still love it. The quality isn't amazing but just having a knife from my dad is really special to me.

Fallkniven makes great knives that will last a long time for your son to carry and use, so not only is the knife a wonderful idea for a gift, it's absolutely a great knife also. Excellent choice.

all i have heard from fallkniven is great things and the knives given to me by father i cherish, you just got him a knife if he takes care of it will last him his whole life and probably will be able to pass it on to his son if he wishes. good choice:thumbup:

Mine is graduating from Pre-School on Tuesday. I've got an original Old Timer selected for his gift.

That Fallkniven looks very nice, a fine gift that anyone would be delighted to receive.

Great choice. At least he won't start out with crap, like most people have.

I prefer the ESEE knives, but a lot of people like Fallkniven. I can't do the whole "Form over function" thing. There are enough knives out there where you can get a little bit of both.
