Beautiful pictures, and nice review. I agree that it should be made in America, and that that a nicer steel would be good, but AUS8A is still a great steel.
It's a sick blade. I don't know why people are so concerned with the paint coming off, it gives the knife character. If you pass down your knives to your children and they all look brand new, your kids are going to think you're crazy. If they're well used they tell the story of the man they served.
