Quick Steel question

Nothing fancy. Smith’s tri hone sharpening system. It’s why i was looking to get a Sharp maker. Something closer to fool proof.
I’m open to any recommendations.
ie specific stones and maybe a reputable dealer to purchase them from. Never had any good stones though the system works pretty good on most of my knives.

David Nowlin David Nowlin I invested in a DMT diamond sharpener set. EF, F, M and C. I also have and use an Apex Pro system. Both do great. If I had a place to set up the Apex and not have to take it apart each time I'd use it a lot more. The DMT set is easy and very effective. I feel either is money well spent and would suggest getting some not so good knives to practice on. If I'm having trouble I use a permanent marker on the edge to know if I'm getting the correct angle.

Thanks. I have a 2 dot 112 and was just curious about it.
You’re welcome, there’s a sticky at the top of the Buck sub forum that has a lot of data on the 112 as well as 110 and 300 series. You can open the attachments to view or download it.
