Anyone got any experience with this company or blade. The price is reasonable to me and what’s got me interested is the Vanax steel. I spend a lot of time at the beach year round and Vanax sounds right up my alley for beach time. Wasn’t sure if anyone was familiar with this knife or quiet carry as a whole? I’m debating on this or a trm neutron2.

I used to own a Drift, and everything about it matched its price point. Super slim blade for a modern folder, so it's a great slicer. I only sold mine because it was a little small for me.

Owned a G10 Drift and also had a Neutron 2 at one time, preferred the Drift, for folders I prefer at least a 3.25" blade so I didn't keep either one.

I had a QC Waypoint and ended up parting with it. It was a good knife but the ergonomics weren't good for my hand.

I currently have a QC IQ. It's a nice little knife but a tad delicate. It's definitely cool but I just don't end up carrying it, so I'll probably part with that one too.

Overall, the quality seems to be there with Quiet Carry. Vanax is an interesting steel. I'd say get the Drift and let us know what you think.

I have a very disappointing Quiet Carry Strand. This was their original knife when they were nothing more than a page on Kickstarter. Apparently they’ve improved their game, but the Strand was plagued by soft hardware and a D2 blade that rusted WAY too fast. The blade is pitted and the handle scales have permanent wiggle after only very light use.

That knife is living now in a knife bag and not part of my EDC. My requests for service (through Kickstarter) got no replies. This was also my last knife through Kickstarter.

Quiet Carry seems to be a darling of the knife industry, but I won’t buy another. There are too many other choices out there that offer transparency about POO and support after the sale.

This is a reason I never bought one --the blades are too short for my taste -- but also I no longer buy any folders that use thumbstuds as the sole opening device. So, this rules out any Quiet Carry folder for me.

They also strike me as a bit overpriced for what you get but, if I was in the market and could get one for 15-25% below MSRP, I'd consider it.

On this point, when the Drift was brought up on the Spyderco forum, Sal said their price for the knife would be much higher than the Drift is, so at least relative Spydeco pricing, it's already a bit of a deal.

Edit: Misremembered a bit. Sal said if they made a Sage 2 with Vanax compared to the Drift it would be "far more expensive".
