Quiet Carry Drifter?

On this point, when the Drift was brought up on the Spyderco forum, Sal said their price for the knife would be much higher than the Drift is, so at least relative Spydeco pricing, it's already a bit of a deal.

Edit: Misremembered a bit. Sal said if they made a Sage 2 with Vanax compared to the Drift it would be "far more expensive".

It may be a "deal" in terms of materials/mfging cost but it's NO DEAL for me given the small blade size and lack of some other means of opening other than thumb studs which are both DEAL KILLERS for me.

FWIW, if they made one with a 3.5-4" blade and a flipper tab, I'd be interested at around $300-350 for the knife but I'd still wait to buy one the "rebound" for 15-25% less on the Exchange or elsewhere.

I have a very disappointing Quiet Carry Strand. This was their original knife when they were nothing more than a page on Kickstarter. Apparently they’ve improved their game, but the Strand was plagued by soft hardware and a D2 blade that rusted WAY too fast. The blade is pitted and the handle scales have permanent wiggle after only very light use.

That knife is living now in a knife bag and not part of my EDC. My requests for service (through Kickstarter) got no replies. This was also my last knife through Kickstarter.

Quiet Carry seems to be a darling of the knife industry, but I won’t buy another. There are too many other choices out there that offer transparency about POO and support after the sale.
Hello there,

This may be a long shot, but do you still have that Quiet Carry Strand? If so, would you be willing to part with it?

Thanks!
