I have been working on this quiver for the past couple of days. This is the first quiver I have made. It isn't perfect but I learned a lot that will help if I ever decide to make another.
It is almost done. I'm going to attach some decorative crap to the end of the lace on top. Probably a badger claw and some horn or wood beads.
Still need to make the bottom wood part to keep the arrows from falling out.
The top doesn't line up. Before I dyed it I marked the bit that needed to be trimmed but forgot to do it. Too late now....oh well. The inside is lined with doeskin and topped off with latigo lace.
I though about how I wanted to attach extra crap. I put in some rivets so my BRKT Mikro Canadian can be attached.
I also put 2 rivets on the other side. I plan on making a pouch or another sheath with the same spacing.
Here are the straps. The rivets on the strap are the same spacing as those on the left side of the quiver. The design lets me wear the quiver over the left or right shoulder. I stole the idea from a guy on another forum that makes incredible quivers.:
More strap detail. I thought these buckles were cool as heck.
I think it turned out all right. Not bad for a first quiver and having no pattern to work from. I might do a stalker or hip quiver....those would be easier. Lacing up this style is kind of a PITA.
