My brother broke the tip on his Blackout, and I am thinking about getting him a R.A.M. He is left-handed and I am right, so I want to know if any lefties have an opinion on the R.A.M. and the Hawk Lock. Thanks, and if the R.A.M. is no good, what specific knife in a similar price range (American made only) do you find more lefty friendly?

It works great for me, and I am left handed. You get pretty adept at working the lock slider with your middle finger, and I can open and close mine very quickly.

Jimmer's got it, the middle finger works great to manipulate the lock on the RAM. I love the RAM, very much. It's just such a charming piece, and it's hard to resist. It's lefty tip-down, and a few tries will have one very familiar with the lock. I say go for it. :D

Also, thank you Mr. Juju for posting my vid link. SO LOVED I AM!

Please for the love of God, start making this knife again!!! :)

I love the Ram bought the last one off Amazon for 49.00 now they are in the 60.00+ range:) Ya they should never discontinue this knife its one of Kershaws all time greats in my book

Thanks guys, I will probably get him one. It sounds like he should be fine. I bought him that Blackout, but never liked the handle material personaly, the R.A.M. is most definitely an upgrade. I love the R.A.M. as well, it has the best flipper action of any knife I have handled, and that is of course ambidextrous, so as long as he can adapt like you all I know he will be happy with it.

Noticed Kershaw guy's inventory was real low on a lot of knives so I got a R.A.M. before it was too late. I guess if I do not draw his name, he will just get a big brother special gift :D
