Hopefully this ends with good news and im just being over cautious. Last week 20th May I found a few of R.Derespina's Model 10's on ebay. The prices looked respectable and the sellers history was fine. only problem here is communication seems to have completely halted. Aside from the pregenerated Paypal emails im getting nowhere with actual updates on the shipping.

I was hopping someone could shed some light on this.Its easily a case of internet problems or computer breakdowns but its been 10+days after my payment was sent and "recieved". I know this is only a short time to be waiting for the knife but Ive sent two querery emails regarding delivery costs and tracking numbers and both have yet to get a responce.
 
Rich is one of the good guys and I have NEVER had a bad deal with him and I dealt with him on more than one occasion. He is good at answering emails as well

As I read this, the ebay purchase was not from Rich himself. Had there been a problem with email, Rich would simply have answered here in GBU. He is not shy online! :)

Agreed. I have nothing but good things to say about him and my limited experiences with him. So, for the sake of all, please clarify that it is NOT Rich you are talking about, but merely someone selling some of his terrific product.
 
Esav this was the main reason for me bringing the question up here on Bladeforums. The eBay account used coincides with Richards Yahoo mail adress that is listed here on his forum sig. (I was over the moon I found a Model 10 on ebay so I came back here to dig up some research on Richards work and his customers feedback)

Trueth be told Richard does sound like a good chap going by the feedback left here. Im more concerned that I had been dealing unknowingly with someone who is not, but pretend to be(did that make sence)

The lack of correspondace from the seller is making me a bit worried, seeing as I cannot get any responce through email I thought id try here.

I forgot to add, the Pay pal Invoice is showing the correct recipient. it doesnt appear that im dealing with Jam.T.Man in Umpaloopah Land here. Either this is Richard using ebay as a sales conduit or a very smart confidence trickster conning collectors based on the Blademakers reputation.
 
I purchased a model 10 from Rich awhile back. Always answered my emails and got the knife within days of him receiving payment. He is definitely one of the good guys.

Please send me the eBay link via PM so I can check it out. Do not post it here in the open forum. I know Rich very well and if someone is using his name he needs to know about it. I do not ever recall Rich selling his stuff on eBay.
 
If you log onto ebay and then do an 'advanced search' you will see on the left-hand side a 'contact info' link. If you click on that and then list the username of the seller and the item # of the purchase ebay will email you their email address, physical address, name and phone #. You should be able to resolve this with a phone call. Good luck too you.
 
im reluctant to phone overseas but that may be the only way to get an update on situation. :confused:

Ken could you please get in touch with Richard and see if there is a tech problem on his side. Im out of pocket and talking to the wall about the situation, I know I shouldnt be pressing for responces here on the forum but im left with few options that wont end up pushing me even further into a red line.
 
Jeeze, I had no idea about this??? Um...Kermit, send me your info here in private message and we can get this straightened out. If you noticed on the ebay ad, it states that all knives are sent out with about a weeks back log. That is because of several things (dealers sales, they usually buy a batch at a time and that leaves my supply low). But mainly because I make the sheaths by hand.

If in fact you purchased from me and I've been busy making sheaths and haven't done my once a week mailing including your knife I humbly apologize and rest assured that your knife will leave Monday. If you ordered from someone else, I would be happy to inquire on your behalf and mediate if necesarry.

Thanks Keith and Ken for alerting me to this thread. BTW, I do sell my Model 10 production stuff on ebay as well as other goodies and my Impact Karambits too but not customs. My ebay tag is karambitmaker and my feedback is excellent.
 
Going through my records and boxes for shipment I see one for ebay member heffa51 is this you? If so, your knife is boxed and scheduled to ship next.

As for email communication, I have not recieved a single email from you inquiring about the shipment.

If you are heffa51, please in the future contact me directly to rectify any issues before posting in the GB&U. I am more than happy to make my customers happy.

I'm glad this has been addressed and i hope Kermit is satisfied with the response by Rich.

On occassion communications tend to get lost in the mix and it seems that is this case in this instance. Rich is a stand up guy and I know he would never knowingly screw someone over.

Im glad ive finally managed to get an update on this, Id bet you have ebay listed somewhere under a spam collection mail ctcher. All the emails were sent through the ebay system of "contact seller" so im guessing it was snatched up as ebay spam along the way. Well im glad weve got this smoothed out. A big thanks again to you Ken, its been great that youve both put up with me through this.

Possibly, I remember that one email through ebay asking about shipping costs prior to your purchase but that's all I got?

Anyway, reseolved. Keep an eye out for your Karambit should be there 1 week to 10 days or so.
