The details:
Model: "20A Deluxe Skinner".
Blade: 6" long. Overall length: 10 1/2"
Handle: Aluminum and Elk Horn with finger grips. Stamped: " R H RUANA BONNER MONTANA " with M stamp
Blade Features: Blade has the blood groove ground into each side.
Sheath: Original Brown Leather Sheath with sharpening stone holder. Stone included. Sheath has a custom design.
Knife and sheath are in very good used condition.
The backstory:
Purchased in 1969. At that time, owner was an USAF fighter pilot awaiting deployment to Southeast Asia. He wrote to Ruana describing his desire for a knife suitable for escaping the cockpit should his plane crash. Although it has been used in the subsequent years, it fortunately never was needed for the original purpose.
