May God Bless and keep all the fallen heroes. Condolences to their Families and loved ones.

One last comment.

This is what it means to be a soldier, sailor, airman, marine ... :o

When you sign up, this is what you may face.

They had a saying about this during WWI: "All gave some, some gave all."

Regardless of where you stand on the political spectrum, no matter what you may think about any particular conflict; show a little respect for the fallen. I guarantee that, when you're out there, you're not thinking about politics.

intentions are many

helping each other

May he rest in peace, and a big thank you for securing the freedoms we all enjoy.

As far as the protesting subhuman pieces of s*** that someone mentioned, ignoring them is the best policy.

My wife and i went this morning and stood with what seemed like our entire town of 5000, as S.A. white was escorted into town.
The escort included members of law enforcement from all the surrounding counties, active military, and about 200 members of Rolling Thunder on their Harleys. This was an amazing thing to witness.
I talked to some of the members of Rolling Thunder, and they said every interstate overpass along the 25 mile route from the airport was filled with people, firetrucks, and ambulances.
We were situated right next to the funeral home, and watched all those bikers pull into the parking lot in true military fashion.
When the Honor Guard pulled his casket from the Hearst, every veteran present stood at attention and saluted.
I cried like a baby during the entire procession.
I've never been so proud to be an American!

Thank you so much for attending... and for your tears... count one of them mine.

RIP.

When my cousin was KIA in Iraq, some folks were going to protest. To head that off, a patriotic biker group in the area came along. No protests were going to be tolerated, and none happened.

Stay safe, guys! I don't always agree with what we do with our troops, but I want everyone of them to come home safe.

Tomorrow is S.A.Whites funeral, and i'm going to go stand with the members of Rolling Thunder and many others, to form a human shield, to protect the families from any offensive signs or banners that these protesters display.
There's only supposed to be seven representatives of the church present, and i've been told that over 700 folks are going to be there to form the shield. i suspect there may be even more than that.

just to let you folks know, we were 2000+ strong today, and the phelps clan was a no-show.
thanks for all the support!
don

That's good news, maybe the clowns are getting the message!

On a sadder note: Three Oz special forces soldiers just died in Afghanistan, they were on their 3rd tour. They were among several others on a helicopter that crashed. Unfortunately an American was also among the dead.
