Texas knifemaker and friend Newton Martin passed away this morning. Truly be missed
 
Think of it in a positive way, now he gets to forge with flawless heavenly metals! Sorry for the loss just trying to give a smile. Try and celebrate the life not morn the loss.
 
Does anyone have some pics of his work that will live on and carry his name forward as it is enjoyed by generations to come.

He was a great guy and knife maker, he was always willing to listen and help out when I called him. Over the years he made a number of knifes for me including a commissioning knife with my daughters rank and name engraved on the blade.

Rest in peace - thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and loved ones.
 
Terrible loss. The man was truly a great designer with a unique flair that will not be replaced. I didn’t know him but I have often admired his designs.
 
My sincere condolences to you and his family.

His name will live on through the rugged knives he put out in the world.
