A few weeks ago, I purchased a used Martin Wasabi...wrapping fairly soiled, a few chips on the blade, etc., but happy to get it.

Emailed R.J. Martin to see if I could return the knife for refurbishing. He was happy to help and did so at a very reasonable cost.

Just got the knife back yesterday. It looks brand new! It looked so "new" that I thought he had replaced the rayskin and re-wrapped the handle. However, he had just taken care of the blade and cleaned the handle very well. Way beyond good, closer to superb.

Hopefully without sounding silly or insincere, I am completely thrilled with his work. I'll definitely be adding more of his workmanship to my collection as opportunity/$$$ come along.

R.J. is one of the good guys. Few people are as giving of their time and experience. I have several of his knives, with many more to come. :)
 
RJ is second to no one in customer service, IMO. Truly interested in the end-user's enjoyment of his knives, whether purchased directly from him or not. A man of integrity who, above all, wants you to be happy with your knife.
