I've been playing with an "R" today. If you have one, you know that the insides of the blade cut-outs are rough. How would I go about smoothing them down? I could use a Dremel on the hole, but that won't help with most of the cut-outs....
Try a Guitar string. I know it sounds strange but when Benchmade made their first AFCK the holes had a rough feel. My dad plays a 12 string and I used the base string and went to work. It made it pretty smooth for me plus they are fairly cheap. Let me know if it works for you!

There are also those "sanding strips" - very narrow rolls of fine-grit sandpaper that are usually used with a very small block or "pen" to get at hard-to-reach areas. I'm betting that running these through the cutouts and working them back and forth shoe-shine style would clean those areas up. It would also round the edges, but that would probably be rather attractive.
