After all the goofing around about a Loveless site:


The doorbell rang today and I open it to find this package from Riverside, CA on my porch. Wow! Talk about excited, this is not an everyday occurence.

These were ordered some time ago and it was well worth the wait. One is a Chute and the other a pretty rare Mini-Wilderness. These are about the same size, the Mini is like a Chute that's been double ground. I went with Green Micarta, a truly Loveless handle material.

Green micarta is a VERY Loveless material, but I still can't stand it!;)

That said, those knives are perfect, and there is not a thing out of place. Are these keepers, or are you going to the dark side(flip 'em quick)?

It is one thing to be in a position to turn down a quick $5,000, it is another thing to actually do it.

No, Riad, not readily.

About $6,000 each, but I figure that Win paid close to $3,500 each, leaves $5,000.

This is for sane people, those that MUST HAVE IT NOW, yeah, you're right, closer to $10,000, maybe $8,500.

Well I for one Love the stuff! Sorry Steve! On the Porch Win? That's scarry!!! Beautiful Win, Just Beautiful. Your correct win. The Mini Wilderness is the Chute Knife with a full double grind. You would bust a gut if I told you Just how this came about! HeeHee! iPhone! I don't think so, Haa!. But I have the # if needed! Oh, and MAJOR SUCKAGE you got going on there Win! Yeah, THAT'S a score. I'm curious, too. How long?

Green canvas micarta sure comes in a few shades. Had it not been for RL's usage, I think it would have dropped off the planet. Now it's a standard. I'm accustomed to it and like it.

Thanks folks, it's really a treat to hold these. I personally love the green Micarta so these are just fine. Lead times can vary usually a couple of years, I just keep my fingers crossed.

These are staying with me, I just can't part with any Loveless fighters. With Bob's knives it's just not about the money, I like the man and I like the work the shop does.

Mike, didn't you once tell us the Mini was a mistake and someone saw it and it became part of the lineup? I really like the double edge grind on a wider blade like this. I've got a couple of sweet boots but this is a new favorite.

I coveted Loveless knives back to the '60s when I had no money. I bought Loveless/Gerber corroborations just to have it say Loveless designed. Now I've got the real thing and couldn't be happier. Just hope my wife never sees what they cost.:eek:

Wow, what an addition to your collection!!!!!!!!

There is just something about the lines in a Loveless knife that make knife knuts just stare and say wow......................

Win,congragulations :thumbup: .Those are beautiful.Only way to better them, is to have them with Sambar stag handles.Always liked the chute knives.But the wilderness,WOW,it is somthing else again.
Considering the high crime rate where you live,I gladly volunteer to keep it here with me, where it will be much safer:D .
You need to post a thread with all of your chute knives and wilderness knives.
