Rabbits ate my blueberries! ARGH!! What's a good bait for the lil' devils?

Apples and a rat trap. Check the liver for Tularemia before cooking. Good eating!

Personally, I think you will not be able to keep on top of them with trapping. If you do, next there will be something else.

I would leave the rabbits alone, and fence in the garden.

Maybe a good chance to brush up on on archery skills? Not sure if firearms are OK at your place or not. But even in city, archery is OK as long as they are in season(and of course, the arrow never leaves your property :)).

Even a very light stick bow would be sufficient.

True enough :-) Though, I'm well-practiced enough, but I have neighbors...it'd be risky business. Hmmm...maybe a drop-net lol :-)

You have a "tractor supply" store in your area? I live in a small town and that is the only place I have ever seen a trap for animals, One could make a snare, but It would be cruel if you snared a rabbit and it just sat their over night or longer until you could dispatch it. I say go for the trap, and dispatch as quickly and humanly as possible, My grandfather was old school, he used an old military method that I believe the Sappers still use today, grab the back legs of the rabbit and slap/karate chop whatever you want to call it , in the back of the neck , you will break it's neck and it will have a harmless death, You know you did it right when blood come out the nose, not being cruel, just letting you know how you know when it's done right, and apologize If i offended anyone.

I believe (If I'm not mistaken that the term is "Knifehands") Yup! That's one way to do it. I've heard giving a good sharp yank on the ears while also giving a simultaneous yank to the hind legs will break the neck.
