I love looking for tracks and this snow we have just had makes spotting them nice and easy. Anyway I just thought I'd share these Raccoon tracks that I found near my house......

He had then crossed a path that was clear of snow but I soon found these on the other side....

He had then gone on his merry way across this garden, no doubt looking for a trash can to tip over !!!!

During the winter in very cold spells or in storms they will hole up . But in the warmer days they come out to look for food.

Before I had a garage, I got sick of their little muddy footprints all over my car :)

Nice pictures. I love seeing a record of all my visitors after it snows.

I just clicked on thinking that someone else was showing some tracks, didn't realise it was my own thread !Doh !!!!

I love looking at different tracks and wish others would post them more often !!!

Good idea pitdog. Though around here its mostly going to be deer and raccon, some possum and a few coyote. I keep looking for a bear track and a bobcat. I actually saw a bobcat cross the road as I was sitting in my truck the other day getting ready to get out for a hike.

Okey doke. Below are some tracks I saw up in British Columbia, along the Kootenay River in '07. The first three are cougar, the last one shows the cougar (more faintly) and some wolf tracks. I say wolf, rather than coyote because of the size of the tracks and the size of the scat I saw in the area.

I might have posted these before, but they're the only images of tracks that I have on line (I have a boatload on my computer). Click on the thumbs for much larger images.
