Hey !
Now I soon ready with a prodject I have work with for some time making racing axes .This two is the first one just heavy grind and wait for the heat treatment . The spec are edge 200 mm and the axe are 200 mm long and weigth 2,7 kg .

those look great!

did you start out with a solid billet of steel and drill/machine out the eyes, and grind all the shapes? ...or did you start with a forged shape?

i look forward to seeing how they turn out, i'm sure they will be good!

I forge the hole out and also the blade .Drill in a forge no no :D

Those look great, Cegga! What steel did you use? Also, could you show us a "top down" view?

I can not do that rigth now I send them to the company that I made them for.
They want to gring them by them self .But I will have them back after ,then I take the pics
The steel are the same as in a Gränsfors axe or a steel all axe makers use in Sweden
And I harden them one to 60 HCR and one to 55 HCR
