I lost my knife. DARN it. Okay okay it was only a Buck Crosslock Solitaire and that's one of the reasons that I liked the knife: If I lost it I wasn't out to much. However I still HATE losing a knife. Someone somewhere just got a knife donation. I hope they are happy with it. At lunch today I went out and bought a CRKT combo edge point guard so all is well that ends well but still...

So have you ever lost a knife?

I lost a Camillus EDC for a couple of days as I had forgotten it in my pocket. Threw my pants in with the dirty laundry, and when I did a wash it came out of the machine nice and clean!

Thats as close as I have ever come to losing a knife so far.

OK, this is my opinion only, but I think you are better off without it. The two I have tried had very poor locks.

Actually I've been very pleased with them, it's the second one I've had and lost. They are simple and reasonably rugged and I've never had a problem with it failing on me or anything. The one part I didn't like was the pocket clip and I'm hoping this crkt one will be better.

There are probably 12 people who went rafting or canoeing at the Guadalupe river near New Braunfels Texas who could tell stories about losing their knives. Some I kept, Some I sold or gave away....thanks guys!

Cheer up Triton. Buck has a new version of the Crosslock. There is an article about it in the Jan edition of Tactical Knives magazine. 420HC satin finished blades, aluminum handles, looks like it's much improved over the older version.

I lost several when I was younger. I'm happy to say I've never lost a truly good knife. :)

Lol you haven't found a Buck Crosslock lately have you???? :)

I once lost a stainless steel handled Buck lockback pocket knife. In a laundromat. Went back to see if it was there but it had already left. Damn thing is, my full name was engraved on the handle. :grumpy: I guess whoever found it figgered it was some new "Case Buck".

Yeah I actually saw some of those on ebay I guess. I wasn't sure exactly what they were...

Sadly. No. Did find a Puma White Hunter with stag handle, a Buck Stockman, 2 Multi-tools, misc fillet knives and paring knives, 3 SAKs, a Buck fixed blade thing, a Buck 112? with a green handle, several 'sheeple' knives, a shark and crocodile knife combination, a Gerber River Shorty (which i use. nice ww blade) and a bunch of $3 specials. I am sure there are a lot of others. If one of these sounds like yours. You are mistaken. They are mine.
Have a great weekend and don't forget to take all your best stuff rafting. I appreciate it.

Triton,

send me an e-mail with your address in it, and I'll send you one of our new crosslocks. We don't have any of the old ones, but I can scrape on up if you prefer as the new ones are doubles.

No, but my brother has technically lost every knife I've given him. He'll have to pay for them any more.

Merek,
That Buck 112? with the green handle just might be from the "Master Series" of knives Buck made using BG-42 for the blades. You might have one butt-kicking Buck on your hands, that is, if you still have it. It might warrant a little more investigation.

i just recently left/lost my Tops 107C Steel Eagle with the saw back on the Kenai River in Soldotna. Had a custom kydex rig and a tek lock for in the small of the back carry... already replaced, but man it sucked

First knife I have lost :grumpy:

LOL it seems that we have a big proponent of finders keepers about. :) Sounds like I need to go fishing for knives... How did you see them in the water?
