My local Sportsman's Warehouse is closing, and I'm very devastated. I went back today because I found some gift cards I had to spend. I knew I'd have to walk out of there with something! The place was gutted in there, even the fixtures were being sold. But they had some odds and ends, and rifles/shotguns left.
Funnily enough, a rifle I was checking out a couple of months ago was there! It's an H&R .45-70 with rifle sights and synthetic furniture. Very handy and well balanced. I paid around $125 after all the cards and discounts. Ammo prices will kill me, but it's too cool not to get at that price (and like I said, I had to take something home with me).
It should make a really excellent woods bumming rifle / camp gun. I really like how it shoulders and the sight picture. Now I've got to try and find ammo for less than $30/box!!!!!
