i would LOVE to see a folder by becker... something in keeping with the bulletproof awesomeness of their entire line

has it ever been considered? Is this a pure impossibility, or might it be seen one day?
 
I found several threads on this last year. None appears to be under serious consideration.

Instead, someone should try making a BK11 or 14 into a folder. I may try it later this year.

don't have a clue how religion came up, but i haven't finished page two yet, so maybe i'll figure it out
 
I think I know how to turn a BK14 into a folder. Unfortunately, I need to get my shop finished before I can try it.

It would be similar to a straight razor type folder. Cut out the lower bar, round front and back and mount in a milled out piece of 1/2" aluminum. Have to fool around with pivot point and a retention device to keep it from opening unexpectantly.

It's worth a try as it converts an illegal carry fixed blade to a legal folder in many states.
 
I think I myself started two threads on this lol. I guess it's a right of passage for getting into Beckers.

It is nice to dream though...
 
I like the 14 BECAUSE it's NOT a folder. It's a STRONG fixed blade that is just the right size for EDC. I wouldn't want it any other way :)
 
I thought someone had a custom made for him based on the BK2. It was a while back though...

Theres already a thread (although its probably old) about it. But I'm not so hot on folders anyway...kinda cos they're mostly illegal here (or cost a damn kidney) and I prefer a fixed blades anyway. Tried to make some mignight tiger G-10 scales for a folder and it didnt turn out so good.
 
Akthor had one made based off DawsonBobs 3D renderings there. IT came out awesome looking, but I think he had to sell it. Shame, it was such a nicely huge knife.
