Radius-ing KMG wheels

Does anyone have any experience putting a radius on a KMG wheel? I'd kind of like to know what works before I butcher an expensive wheel. Thanks in advance.

Do mean a contact wheel, drive wheel, tracking wheel, or platen idler? Contact wheels are not too hard to radius, just use a big metal file on the back of the wheel as it runs to gradually take a little off the corners. Try grinding passes with it now and then as you go, when it grinds plunges, etc. how you want, stop. Obviously this could be a little dangerous, you want to watch out where the file (and your hands) are in relation to the running belt at all times. If you are talking about any of the metal wheels, there are others here more qualified to reply than me. Just my $.02.

Be very careful you need to make sure both sides of the wheel are the same. Otherwise your plunges will be affected and be difficult to match. I know because it happened to me:o It may help to use a radius gauge.
