Rados damascus

Jerry makes his own secret formula damascus that some consider the best available. Jerry also makes some gorgeous knives and only produces a few a year because of the workmanship and detail that go into them. He also sells billets of his custom damascus. Not sure what your question was in regards to.

I recently got a folder with Rados damascus on it and it's my first damascus knife. This damascus is double high carbon steel, 203E and 1095, so it can be used.

I was polishing the bolsters with wax and was surprised to feel the fibers of the cotton cloth sensing the layers of damascus as I was working it around an edge of the bolster; sort of a faint ripping sound.

On the blade, during cutting, the different metals making up the laminates will wear at a different rate, creating that condition of micro-fine saw-like serrations. It's sort of a lasting blade sharpness.
 
That knife is an eyefull, a complex beauty, but a certain beauty!
