A couple of weeks ago I placed a very small order with Ragnar: a Mora Clipper, and an Okapi lockback. They of course arrived in a couple of days.
The Okapi lockback has an unusual mechanism that I found confusing. I asked if I could exchange it for one of the slipjoints.
He said sure, and explained how to open and close the lockback.

Within two days, he put detailed instructions, including photos, in his Okapi section.

I still wasn't wild about the lockback--the ring was sort of hard on my tendonitis-prone fingers--so I sent it back last week.

Today, when I got home, I had a package waiting for me.
Two slipjoints--the one I asked for, and one size up--with a note saying "Extra is gift". :)

I like both Okapis very much. IMO they are very pretty with the inlay, and make a great extra when you order some of those beautiful Scandinavian knives.

Including photos! That's funny, because I bought an Okapi slipjoint at Blade a few years ago. I was going to buy the ringlock, but the man selling it demonstrated it so clumily, I knew I'd lose skin trying it his way. Ragnar's simple photo instructions are foolproof (which, obviously, I needed!) :D

Ragnar is, simply put, one of the very best.
