I'd recently been stricken with "Mora Fever" and decided to add a few pieces to my small group of Nordic knives. (A few Moras, some carving tools and a Brusletto "Balder" to be exact.)
Ragnar's Ragweed Forge has always gotten good press in my experience and the website has always been interesting and a good source of ideas, similar to "Chai Cutlery" which was the brainchild of the late James Mattis (who incidentally was the one who first got me into puukkos and their brethren).
I had a series of very pleasant emails back and forth with Ragnar regarding Moras, wood carving, books and various recommendations.
Not only are his prices superb, but his service is equally impressive. I finished adding to my order Saturday morning and he got to the Post Office to mail it out before the noon deadline. (I should note that the $5 he charged for shipping did not cover his cost.)
On top of that, as I went through the box which arrived today I found an extra knife with a note attached saying "No Charge, For Your Collection".
Now, Ragnar doesn't know me from Adam and it's the first order I placed with him, but you can damned sure be certain it won't be my last.
Do I recommend Ragnar's Ragweed Forge and the man who stands behind it? Hell yeah!!!

You won't be disappointed if Nordic and traditional knives and knife lore are what you seek.
