Rail road spike hawk HELP!!

Well guys i guess i should have just bought one of the things but im the type to make(or at least try) my own. What i need is a tomahawk drift or instructions on how to make one..If you can help i would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi, I turned one up in the lathe out of 1 1/2" round bar.
Turned it until the small end was 5/16" then heated it in the forge and flattened it on two sides so it will fit into the chiselled slot.
