Pullrich mark where you want it , cut with a hammer and chisel
then under cut both sides of the line you cut, then aneal the copper and tap in.
Hope that helps a bit to understand .

So 'anneal' means to heat it, right?

Hi Pullrich yes easyier to wrap in a coil like a rope and heat till red and drop in water . copper ,silver and gold ,brass too but let the red go out of the brass then quench should be as soft as it can get, opposite to steel .
