I came upon a knife fashioned from a railroad spike. It has an upswept point, is highly polished, and has a stamp on the blade that reads, "PEARCE"

Does anyone know anything about this knife? I think it is about 10-20 years old is my guess.

I don't know anything about PEARCE, but I've seen something like what you describe advertised in Smoky Mtn. catalog in the past. Could also be homemade.

Sounds like your knife was made by Perry Pearce from DeQueen Arkansas. Perry has been making rail road spike knives for almost the last 10 years.
