New meaning to Loan SHARK eh? Im seeing Kardas old shark avatar with a mouth full of cash;) It aint me this year. No Christmas bonus for me. I survived my yearly Christmas layoff so far so I aint complaining. Sure is a pretty AK tho!
 
That sucks Ndog... Sorry to hear about the bonus no go. I didnt think I was going to get one myself until I got called into the bosses office. He handed me a check, not as much as last year but everything helps. I've been hearing through the grapevine that things should be improving sooner rather than later... Financial wise. Let's hope things go good next year.
 
I got no monetary bonus this year either...:( At least we got a present from the owner, we got a 3/4 length raincoat, pretty generic, but it does the job, I guess it's better than nothing, eh?
 
One thing I miss about the private sector was bonus's and incentive's. I always did really well on those.

In the public sector it don't happen, considered a gift of public funds which of course is a big no no. That and the union everyone is equal weather they work or not.

Oh well.
 
My wife was WELL compensated bonus wise this year. I guess some sectors are better than others. She is in the insurance underwritering sector. I almost chocked when I saw the check. I thought it was a joke for a moment but her company gives away trips to the Caribbean and other cool perks at the xmas parties. They had a "casino" night at a restaurant, we played with what we thought were fake chips for fun until we realized people were cashing them out :eek: . I get jealous sometimes but I reap the benefits a lot of the time.
 
Hey GB, what you need to do is get your wife (And her Bonus) infected with HIKV... sure they would technically be her blades. But I bet you could still enjoy them.

Just imagine the collection the 2 of you could create, considering the one you are amassing by yourself... hmm on second thought it is hard enough winning a DotD. Once I get some medical bills paid I am NOT going to want to try to out-shark 2 of you LOL. Forget I said anything at all. Nope BAD idea. Umm yeah REALLY BAD idea. :D
 
Well...I have gotten her addicted to Japanese Anime... Something she said she would never enjoy. I think she is a bigger Naruto fan than me. I caught her singing the opening song in Japanese the best she could lol. I just love watching her in the car when she doesn't know I am looking. She is so cute trying to pronounce the "shooting star" song in Japanese.

She actually really appreciatea the workmanship of HI products. I show off my triangle boxes to her and she actually listens to me go on and on about the Kami and the steel and the lines. She always has a smile on her face, kinda like the one I have in my face when I watch her sing in the car. I got her into the shooting sports which she enjoys very much. She wasn't to into "firearms" when I first met her... That's what she use to call them "firearms" with a pissy look on her face. I have since educated her about American history, the importance of the 2nd Amendment. She now refers to our firearms by their proper names. I can tell her to grab me the 1911 and she knows what I am talking about :D . Not all woman are as cool and versed as you on guns and blades Shavru buddy. I am teaching her the ropes
 
:D Every time I hear of another woman learning to if not love at least understand and respect guns I get a satisfied feeling. Though the ones I really can't understand are the ones that have been victims in the past and still have that look you were talking about. I can not understand why someone that has been victimized would not do everything in their power to keep from ever being in that position again. I am glad you at least opened her eyes to the options she has. Perhaps if you keep gently offering options she will choose to become proficient and start to take responsibility for protecting herself. I won't be satisfied until every single woman is capable and prepared to keep herself from ever being a victim.
 
I know I came close to being raped a couple times but I'm certain it was because of the way I dressed. My bad.

Lord help the smuck that tries anything with my wife, I suspect the results would be similar to an encounter with Shavru, maybe not as neat and quick but ugly none the less. I'm not sure my daughter has the killer mind set YET but I know it's a comin!
 
Yup....ditto here, Lord help the dummy that tries to do anything to my wife. It'll definately be messy, but I'll guarantee, it'll be "complete".
