I had a guy ask me for a raindrop pattern blade with elk antler handles.

I'm having a hard time visualizing it, and my first instinct was that a geometric pattern like raindrop would not look good against an elk antler handle...but I'm still fairly new at all this.:D

What do you guys think? Good combination of materials or not?

Maybe if you could find some elk antler with "popcorn" character..... I dunno  maybe take a deposit on this one.

I'm not a maker so not even sure if it's appropriate for me to post here however, here's two of my Fisk with raindrop pattern damascus blades, one with ramhorn, one with sambar stag. Hope it helps.

To me, the raindrop and antler looks really nice. Might be how the guard and spacer fit with the blade, I don't know. I like it. Thanks for putting up the pics, Kevin.

Thanks for posting those pix Kevin. Sweet looking knives!

I look forward to hearing and seeing more about your project CDH. Good luck!

Of course you can post here Kevin! You dont have to be a maker to have opinions on how knives should be built or look.

I have to say in my opinion the ramhorn knife is by far the most ugly Fisk I have seen:) The one with stag sure looks good though.

That stag handled Fisk looks good. I wonder what he uses to darken his stag?

Good, I can sure learn here.

Differing opinions keep it interesting. ;) Don't know if it's just fits my hand size or not, but it's the most comfortable bowie I have ever held and I have held quite a few.

I believe Jerry gets most of his dyed stag from Culpepper.

Thanks guys for all the comments.
