Great looking knife. When you make a knife from someone else's pattern welded steel, do you forge or stock remove?

Keith,

Most of the time when one buys "ready-made" damascus it is already ground to a thickness suitable for stock removal. In the case of this knife, I started with a piece .147 thick, so I would not have had much material to work with in forging.

Besides, Devin's damascus is already almost perfectly "squished", and I would hate to screw it up by "squishing" it more.:D

Long story made short........... This one is stricly stock removal.

That's what I figured. I would think that forging might ruin the pattern. Even though I am a forged knife kind of guy, I really like this knife.
