Ralph Folder Problem

After completing my Ralph folder kit, there is a lot of side play with the blade locked open.
I have tried tightening the pivot pin but it is locked down tight. Anyone have any suggestions?

dont have a clue about the kits...maybe DDR should hop in here...but try taking it apart and miking everything in the middle.....the spacers and the blade plus washers should be very close to the exact same thickness'......if thats the case then there is a problem with the screw or the mating end of the screw in the pivot.....if they are not all very close (less than a thou...) then that is your problem.

I thought I would also report that I have a Ralph folder problem too. I just don't have enough of them!:D
 
Make sure you have the rubber o ring under the pivot. I have also had to adjust the liner to get the lockup and action just right.
These are well made and very smooth knives.
 
Is the washers on the blade? If one is pinched or off the blade it will not tighten all the way. Also as stated above the oring needs to be in place. If these are all ok then take the pivot pin out and shorten it a little until it tightens up. That would be the only other problem I can think of.
