the owner/operator has been saying he was closing it down for the last few months due to lack of activity. i've posted a lot there and recently have been trying to post more often. almost got to 6000 posts...
seems he finally pulled the plug. i think he just got tired of running it. probably cost too much.
shame, it was just recently upgraded too. i'll miss the folks there, had some good friends. it was a site where you didn't have to be careful what you said, and where all political spectrums, races, colours and creeds were treated equally and had the freedom to speak their minds with very little censure. only personal attacks were a no-no, everything else went. a good site for knife/gun owners/makers, collectors and affecionados.
i'll miss it. my girlfriend, ol' one eye (cthulhu's older sister), will miss it too.
