Rambo IV Trailer....

Nope! I'm true to the first story. I read the book before the first movie came out and I wasn't disappointed with the first movie. The franchise afterwards went in a direction I never liked.

I'm there! Of course, the Foley guys apparently think recurves and compound bows sound like silenced hollywood firearms. :D

i noticed that too, hope it doesnt get too anyoing.

he is also forging hos own blade, kinda like in 'the hunted' but i didnt see the 'finished' product.

As a child of the 80's I will be severly disappointed if they don't use any of the old soundtrack.

No soviets is bearable, but its just not Rambo if they don't play that chorus when he pulls out the can opener and walks over to the 60 gallon drum of whoop ass.

I was pleasantly surprised with Rocky Balboa, it wasn't the best movie I have seen but MUCH better than I expected, maybe John Rambo will be too. Chris

I was a bit suprised how well you can chop head off with "rambo knife". :D

Looks good..I love the first one the best. I wore out many video tapes watching it. Rambo has aged but as long as he can still give a loud AAAHHHHH!!! and destroy everything and everyone in sight. I'm there.

I'll have to wait until it comes out on pay per view since I haven't been to the theater in about 20 years. For the price of a large popcorn and a drink I could buy a Busse. :D

that is one rare case where the movie was better than the book. IMO anyway. I really didn't care for the book at all.

I really enjoyed the first movie. The 2nd and 3rd Rambo movies were typical '80s over-done effects and massive unrealistic carnage (see also Arnie's Commando). In this day and age with action movies depicting more realistic action (albeit still sensational, but they seem to try), I had high hopes for John Rambo. After viewing the trailer, I believe they are pushing the same, unrealistic shlock that comprised the 2nd and 3rd movies, but with the added level of graphic gore that films can get away with nowadays.

That said, I will still try to see it in the theater. After all, it's John freakin' Rambo! First Blood did a lot to spark my interest in survival and survival knives.

This movie looks awesome. I love all kinds of cheezy movies in this genre, you know the Chuck Norris, Jean Claude van Damme, Steven Segal movies. Its a fun genre because it tries to be more serious than it is.

If they wouldn't just get so damn silly with the one man army thing. Actually - I think the idea really came from those teenage slicer films - like Friday the 13th. You know how Jason can walk yet outrun everybody, knows where everbody is going to be running and hiding before they do. Now the action hero is the guy who just seems to set all his booby traps so they kill someone everytime. Hopefully though nothing can get as ridiculous as that matrix scene with 'The one' fighting ten thousand smiths.

Want to see a great realistic espionage move - rent Spartan!
