Rambo knife

Helloooo

As all knives fan, I like the Jimmy Lile, specially the first one
less the second and I hate the third but it's not a Lile one.
(It goes the same for the movie).
Aestheticly speaking I found the first one a masterpiece. Technically speaking I can't say anything, I never had the chance to have one in my hand.
Big hollow handle knife in general and sawteeth in particulary speaking, I'll say this:
as probably all of you, I've bought and used those one. The "best" were the "Aïtor jungle king one" and the "Al Mar green beret survival knife".I didn't trust the first because iI found the handle to thin. I was always scary to broke the blade. The sawteeth work "good" but were different than the Lile and were a nightmare for my sheath. The Al mar was so big and soooo heavy that I could not used it.I thing that the 1/3 of the weight was the pommel. The sawteeth were excellent but not for a woodwork there were to used as a serrated blade.I only used them a couple of days and return to more conventionnal knives.
This gave me some lessons. For myself, 8 " blade are the maximum (and 7" is better), Hollow handle can never equal a small pouch (that's the reason why most of the time the hh are empty), Sawteeths are nightmares for sheath, stop the blade to be used with a wood to chop a log. A light knife is quiet comfortable in the outdoor.
Nevertheless, If I'll have to chose a Lile hollow handle, it will be the "Combat hollow handle".
Now all what I'said is my personnal opinion and I understand well that people want to use them.

For the Rambo IV

Greg,
I really like your hollow handle survival knife, can you tells us more about it? Are you still making them? How much for a blade like your photo?

Thanks - Ron
