Don't know if you guys like Ramps or not. Here in WV they are a spring tradition.

If you live in WV or surrounding states, a long time associate of mine and fellow forestry student in college maintains a web page that has useful ramp info, links and a schedule of community ramp festivals.

Have some ramps. They are good for your soul:D

Hollowdweller, I grew up on the outskirts of Beckley. I can remember gouing ramp hunting with my uncle, and my grandma frying them with pototoes, pinto beans and cornbread. Sure was some fine eatin. I haven't had them in years. I live in East Tn now and ya don't here of them to often around here. Thanks for bringing up a fond memory.

I thought this post was about fine-tuning a M1911!

I have learned something new!

I thought the same thing when I read the title. Took me a second realized it wasn't feed ramps too. :D

Its still early here in MI but I went out today looking for some possible Morel 'shroom hunting spots. Kept my eyes open for ramps while I was out. No joy on either. Looks like I'm still a couple weeks away.

i never knew what ramps were until i went to my sisters in southern ohio and kept smelling onions all over the trails when riding the 3 wheeler. they come in handy if you are out and forget to bring something to eat.
