I have acquired 4 of these hardness testers, so I am going to try to part with 3 of them here.

These are cool hardness testers. They are kind of a hybrid between bench top and portable testers. They are well made and easy to use. They also seem to hold calibration very well. The small size limits them for a lot of things but makes them perfect for knife makers.

Tester #1 - $400 Shipped in the Lower 48 SOLD

This one is in very nice shape and doesn't appear to have been used much. I have checked calibration with a 62 Rc calibration block, and it works well. The anvil was missing when I got it, so I made a new one out of 410 SS. Includes two "30N" test blocks because they came with the tester. It does NOT include a "C" scale calibration block that is needed for testing knives. I can add one for an additional cost. Includes everything in the pictures:

Tester #2 - $325 Shipped in the Lower 48 SOLD

This one is in good working condition but has some dings and scratches as shown in the pictures. I have checked calibration with a 62 Rc calibration block, and it works well. The anvil was missing when I got it, so I made a new one out of 410 SS. Includes two "B" test blocks and one "N" block because they came with the tester. It does NOT include a "C" scale calibration block that is needed for testing knives. I can add one for an additional cost. It did not have a diamond indenter when I received it, but I will include a new old stock indenter. Includes everything in the pictures:

Tester #3 - $275 Shipped in the Lower 48 SOLD

This one is different because it has a digital redout instead of the dial. It works fine and is in good shape, but it has the issue of being a bit hard to read. I am not sure why, but the digital read out is kind of difficult to make out clearly. I have to crouch down and look up a bit to be able to read it. The one picture shows this. to avoid the scammers emailing your directly and remove your email from your post!
That email reminds me of many emails I see containing not only the person's name, but also age - or so I expect the 19xx indicates year of birth. Call me paranoid, but.... a person can't be too careful these days.

That is one heck of a deal on those hardness testes for sure. Darrell sure seems like a standup guy and wouldn't hesitate to order from him.
